Two girls, one cozy place and a table full of great food that will definitely get you into a food coma. Dominika Svetikova a Ren Heckova are two Bratislava girls, who created Brunch by Doda and Kolachella. Once a month they pick a place and prepare a tasty brunch for about 30 to 40 people. For the second time, they chose the place called Pecto, which is a great breakfast place near the city center. People sign up for the event on Facebook and pay by the bank transfer. For 20 Euros, you get “all you can eat” brunch filled with rather a bio and organic food with mimosas on top. Renata or the founder of Kolachella is a local baker and you can find her on Facebook or Instagram. Her cakes not only look good but taste like heaven. Literally. Her Pavlova cake that I have tried tasted like a dream. It was not dry at all, it was all fluffy and creamy. Just Yummy. The brunch included mimosas or prosecco, two types of quiche, eggs with bacon, various toasts and bagels with salmon, sun-dried tomatoes, fermented peppers, chili jams, goat cheese, or a simple butter. The choice was really spectacular and everyone could have found what he or she wished for. My friends and I were a group of 8 people and we went around 11 am. However, the brunch officially started at 10 am and ends at 2 pm. I really enjoyed the bagels with salmon and cream cheese and the walnut salad. Anyways, if you ever going to visit Bratislava and Doda and Kolachella will coincidently organize the event at the same time I would definitely check that out and make a payment very soon because it flieeees. The event usually gets sold out so first comes first serves. Here is a bit of what we enjoyed today.
